This policy explains what data Transferly accesses, stores, and shares when installed on a Shopify store.
To provide its core functionality, the app reads order line items, product and variant details (including SKU and barcode), location data, and inventory transfer data through Shopify's Admin API. This information is used to calculate sales-based restock suggestions and to create inventory transfers on the merchant's behalf.
We store the store's domain and an access token used to communicate with Shopify's API on the merchant's behalf, along with a record of each inventory transfer the app creates (origin and destination locations, the date range used, item and quantity counts, an optional reference name, and the resulting Shopify transfer ID). We do not store customer names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, or any other customer-identifying information.
Information is used solely to operate the app's stated features: generating restock suggestions and creating inventory transfers. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as described below.
The app is hosted on Fly.io and stores data in a Postgres database provided by Neon. These providers process data on our behalf under standard hosting agreements and do not use it for their own purposes.
Data associated with a store is deleted when the app is uninstalled. The app also responds to Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks for customer data requests and redaction; since the app does not store customer-identifying information, there is typically nothing additional to return or delete for these requests.
Access tokens and stored data are kept on infrastructure using industry-standard security practices, including encrypted connections between the app, Shopify, and our hosting providers.
